Condolence Message

On behalf of myself, family and all members of Senator John James Akpanudoedehge's campaign organization, “POSITIVE CHANGE 2011”, I write to commensurate with the family over the painful loss of our beloved father, His Eminence, Usonyin Okon Ekpo Ekpo, Okuibom Ibibio II and the Paramount Ruler of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

As the second Okuibom Ibibio, he recorded significant progress in the development of Ibibio land, Ibesikpo Asutan in particular and Akwa Ibom State as a whole. His influence went beyond Akwa Ibom State when in 2002, I presented him to the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusequn Obasanjo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Death, as we know, is a path which every mortal must pass through. But this axiom has not been able to eliminate pains and sorrows that death has always left in the minds of the people. Therefore, my family, Senator Akpanudoedehe's Positive Change 20ll Campaign Organization and I, truly sympathize with all members of Usonying Ekpo Ekpo's family, the entire Ibibio race and share the trauma of this sad loss.
As we mourn the exit of this great man, let us take consolation in the words of William Shakespeare that “a world is a stage where actors appear and disappear”.

May the soul of His Eminence, Usonyin Okon Ekpo Ekpo find eternal rest in the bossom of the Lord, and may the Almighty God give the entire family and Ibibio race the fortitude to bear this great loss.
Accept our heartfelt condolences.

Signed:
Senator John James Akpanudoedehe
Governor, Akwa Ibom State, 2011
