Akpabio Continuity Cup Kicks Off April, 11

An Easter Footbal Challenge tagged “Akpabio Continuity Cup will kick off in the state on April 11, 2010.
The tournament which will be in under-18 boys category is sponsored by the National Council of Annang Youths and will be organized by the state chapter of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON).
Already, more than 20 youth teams across the state have indicated their willingness to storm the state capital for the tournament.
According to the organizers, all the matches will take place at Comprehensive Secondary School, Four Towns, Uyo.
Speaking with our reporter in Uyo, the President National Council of Annang youths, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen said the aim of the competition is to bring the youths of the state together to drum support for Chief Godswill Akpabio's second term bid.
Apart from engaging the youths positively, Dr. Udosen described football as a unifying factor the world over which has also put food on the tables of many people.
The National President who also doubles as the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee stated that the youths are happy with the performance of Chief (Dr) Godswill Akpabio and will do everything within their power to return the Governor back to the Hilltop Mansion in 2011.
