BOXER SAMUEL PETER BOUNCING BACK

With the defeating of his Dominican Republic opponent, Nagy Aguilera, in the second round of a fight eliminator on Friday 12th March 2010 in far away USA, Nigerian boxer Samuel Peter is inching to clinching back a lost world heavyweight boxing belt that he lost in 2008 to Vitali Klitschko.

What Peter did to the Domican Aguilera was about what the Russian Vitali did to Peter. Vitali with vitality beat Peter to stupor and punished him to the extent that the referee had to intervene to avoid Peter's death in the ring.
Peter's loss to Vitali Klitschko was somehow divine: He gave God's glory to Governor Godswill Akpbabio of his home State (Akwa Ibom) when he won the heavyweight belt; this was the belt Vital snatched.

Peter attributed his God-given victory to a man (Godswill Akpabio), instead of to God Almighty. It will be recalled that the governor further claimed the God's glory on Peter when he insinuated that it was because he (Akpabio) was governing the Akwa Ibom well that Peter dedicated the belt to him. Not quite long thereafter the blasphemy, Vitali beat Peter to stupor. Peter who suddenly went down the ladder of his boxing career is believed to have learnt his lessons and hopefully would henceforth respect God and not man.

Now, he has started climbing the ladder again. Wladimir Klitschko (younger brother to Vitali) who is holding IBF, WBO and IBO world belts and who also beat Peter on points earlier before Vitali's, fought an American challenger, Eddie Chambers in which he knocked out his challenger in round 12 on March 20, 2010. Vitali now focuses on beating the man described as a mean-fighting-machine, David Hayes in a next encounter.

If he defeats David, he may meet Peter again in the near future and Peter says he looks forward to the fight.

I wish Peter all the best provided he has stripped himself the stupidity for the blasphemy he committed with another.
