Udoedehe Ambassadors Begins L.G Tour

As one of the strategies to ensure the victory of Senator J. J. Akpanudoedehe as the governor of Akwa Ibom State from May 2011, a Socio-political group in the state with branches in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Abuja and Calabar, has begun a campaign tour in local government areas across the state. The tour which started in Itu recently is billed to go round all the 31 local government areas of the state.
Speaking to a crowd of about two thousand people at Mbak Atai, the local government headquarters, the International Coordinator of the group, Pastor Kingsley Asian said that “Senator John James Akpanudoedehe is a man of vision. A great leader indeed, an optimist to the core, a man of profound integrity, an ardent performer, the Moses of our generation, and a firm believer in service to humanity”.
The eloquent pastor went on to say that the problem the state is having now is poor leadership that has ruined the economy of the state; which stock in-trade is to drive away the resources of the state into “perilous mechanism”.
His words: “Akwa Ibom has suffered total decadence in the past 3 years or there about. We all fought for and installed this government with the believe that they will salvage the people from the pangs of poverty; but today, that dream has been shunned and you will all agree with me that Akwa Ibom for this past years has moved from a small commercial hamlet to an ugly and over congested village with nothing to show except for littered roads and re-painted classroom blocks.”
Pastor Asian while calling on the masses to rise in support of Senator Udoedehe, told them that over the years, huge resources of Akwa Ibom have been carted away into private pockets and the people have been reduced to mere instruments of poverty with no hope of recovery. According to him, “it is a well known fact that Akwa Ibom has received almost one trillion naira in less than three years from the federal allocation, excluding internally generated revenue; yet there is still this hunger in the land. It will be stupid and obnoxious for us to attribute the problems faced by our people to lack of funds since our dear state is the richest in the country, presently.
“We need to ask questions on how our resources have been utilized. We have since become slaves in our land. It is our fervent prayer to God that this extreme greed and selfishness, deceit and wickedness which have consumed our leaders in this state to be revalued in their lives so that they will be transported from a people who lean more on false hood to good instruments of truth and hope in the hands of the Almighty God”.
The Itu-born pastor told the crowd that the decision of distinguished Sen. J. J. Akpanudoedehe to serve the state as the governor from 2011 is born out of love and commitment to the development of Akwa Ibom people, adding that the senator's dream is catapulted by divine hope and buttered by God's grace.
While expressing his happiness which he said stems from the fact that for about 3 years now, Senator Akpanudoedehe have stood firmly for the truth, leaving no one in doubt about his commitment and compassion for the success of democracy, therefore said that “Itu Local Government Area has been declared “a No-go Area to all other governorship aspirants in the 2011 elections”.
Earlier in his speech, the Itu Chapter Coordinator of Udoedehe Ambassadors, Mr. Godwin Akpaninyang said that Itu has been declared for Sen. J. J. Udoedehe and that 100 percent votes from the area is for Udoedehe.
His words: “we want a governor that will give us industries, and revive NNMC, Oku Iboku for us.” Senator Udoedehe is our Messiah and the Moses of this generation; hence Itu has promised to give him 100 percent votes”.
Those present at the rally include the National and State executive members and all the wards and village coordinators in Itu local Government Area.
