Open Letter To The Inspector General Of Police

Plan To Kidnap And Kill Senator Udoedehe's Supporters
D ear Sir,

We the undersigned wish to bring to your notice a renewed plot by a group of faceless politicians from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to disrupt the peaceful campaign atmosphere currently being enjoyed by the foremost gubernatorial candidate in the state, Senator J. J. Akpanudoedehe.

Sir, this group of people has categorically stated that they will do everything to ensure that they thwart the process that will lead to the emergence of the former Senator and Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State come May 29th, 2011.

Normally, we would have taken this as a mere propaganda and the ranting of ants, but as recent as 2nd May, 2010, there was a meeting at Ukana Ikot Ntuen in Essien Udim Local Government Area organized by a certain Barr. Ibanga Akpabio who is a relative to the sitting Governor and who currently parades himself as the Secretary of the State PDP where they plotted that in order to force the former Minister, Senator Udoedehe to drop his gubernatorial ambition, certain top politicians especially those from Ibibio extract who are his core supporters must be kidnapped and killed thereafter.

However, Sir, this threat is not an empty one because the nefarious and thuggery attitude of this group of people is known all over the state and beyond.

We are calling on you to please use your good office and call Barr. Ibanga Akpabio and his blood-thirsty group to order.

We so much count on you.

Thank you and God bless.

Signed:

Elder Monday A. Utuk
Pioneer Chairman
PDP, Ward 6, Uyo L.G. Area

Major M. J. Usoro (Rtd)

Captain Inih Okon Akpan
