Greetings to my Elders, my Brothers, Sisters and the youths of the New Akwa Ibom State, join me today to thank Members of the Senate and members of the Federal House of Representative members who have supported and stand-by us for the creation of ITAI State. We all know that with the creation of Itai State, further development, expansion and progress will be achieve for our people, especially the employment opportunities that will come with the new Itai State to the indigenes of former Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district.
I wish to thank Governor Godswill Akpabio who has reluctantly stood by us, to achieve the creation of Itai State. I wish to thank those Elders of former Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district who have joined us in the aspiration of Itai State.
Itai State represent to us growth and opportunities and most especially, it represent Godswill Akpabio as a one term Governor. We should stand by the people of Itai State for their choice of Itai State Capital city and Headquarter in Ikot Ekpene LGA instead of Essien Udim LGA as proposed by Godswill Akpabio. We must also stand by the people of Itai State for the choice of progressive person as their Governor in 2011.
Our Elders must also stand up and join me in the formation of the new Akwa Ibom State government. We should not support the likes of re-cycled Senator Akpan Udoedgehe for his Governorship Campaign.
Time is now for us to take control of our destiny for a progressive and industrial new Akwa Ibom State.
Time is now to do away with the regressive politics of yesteryears.
Time is now for our purposeful unity and growth especially in the employment of our youths, institutional development and empowerment of our people.
Time is now for the unity of Uyo and Eket Federal Senatorial districts people.
Time is now to bring to justice, those who perpetuate fear and kidnapping in our State.
Time is now for our common love of the future of our Youths and Children.
We are all aware that Godswill Akpabio has purposely withhold Akwa Ibom State money meant for our growth so as to torture the Uyo and Oron Senatorial district people and for his campaign to stop the creation of Itai State. We will collectively demand accountability of Akwa Ibom State money during the years 2007 to 2011 we will not relent to bring to justice those who have abused our trust in the management of our State.
I wish to thank my supporters for their patience during the last 2 months. Events leading to the confirmation of the creation of Itai State had created a different scenario and strategy for our successful campaign rally and winning in 2011. I had used this period to meet investors for the creation of industries and industrial parks in our State.
I pray the good people of Akwa Ibom State to join and support me as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State in 2011. I stand today to affirm that I will lead our State to the path of growth and success, I will create the require employment opportunities, I will create an environment where our youths, our children and our people will grow in peace, love and prosperity.
