ETOI CLAN YOUTH DECLARES FOR SEN. UDOEDEHE

Arising from its general meeting of the year recently at its secretariat, Udoe Road Ifa Atai, Etoi, the Etoi Clan Development Association in Uyo Local Government has unanimously declared their full support and adopted Senator Akpan Udoedehe as their sole candidate come 2011 gubernatorial election.

In a letter of adoption made available to Global Concord and signed by the President, Mr. Dennis John, Secretary General, Mr. Okon Edet and Mr. Christopher Inyang, Treasurer, indicate that their decisions to support the Distinguished Senator was based on his (Senator's) antecedents, and to help take Akwa Ibom out of the present State of insecurity and poverty.
The association which is the umbrella body of youth organizations in Etoi condemned in totality the spate of kidnapping, killing and other vices in the state which they described as being in the highest point and charged the government of the day to take up its primary responsibility of protecting lives and property of the citizens.
The group also condemned in strong terms the recent attempt by some youths of Ikot Ekpene who attempted to attack the wife of the Senator who visited her parental home in Ikot Ekpene and warned them to desist from such acts forthwith in order to avoid tribal war.
