Dry your tears
We have drunk
From all the springs
Of ill fortune
And of glory
And our senses are now opened
- Bernard Dadie
Good morning enen Nsit. If I tell you I am happy to write this letter to you I would be lying. And I'll be highly hypocritical to ask to know your present state because I have known that you are not in good condition and has made to be stunted by the powers that be. I can't blame you for refusing to grow, rather I'll blame our sons who are in government, whose stocks in-trade is to sing praises and or tunes of this government telling lies, praising where praises are not necessary and gunning for their re-election and for that or the incumbent governor. Shame on them.
I know you will not be able to read this very letter, all what you need do is to send it to the House of Assembly where our representative is, or you send it to the state executive council where we have a commissioner, I mean the man behind the sycophantic group call NIFGAI, or you Nsit Ibom. I believe they will help read it for you. Though they will do nothing after reading rather than sending congratulation messages to the governor on his recent conferment of a honorary doctorate degree by the University of Calabar.
But come to think of it. Obong Enen Nsit, are you not a contemporary of Etim Ekpo/Iwukem road? Are you not of the same age with Abak/Ikot Ekpene Road? Etc. why is it that you are still where you were 17 months ago? I know one may say that the work is in progress; but I buy to differ. This is because some people whose properties are affected by the construction are not compensated; now SINOENG has packed their property, and I lean another consultation company is yet to arrive. The road is haphazardly done with no gutter as is obtained in contemporary roads.
