PPA Declares For Udoedehe

The gubernatorial aspiration of Senator John James Udoedehe in 2011 has received the nods of the Progressive People Alliance (PPA) one of the political parties jostling for the Akpabio job.
Speaking during the civic reception organized by the Forum of Uyo Patriots on Saturday 17th April, 2010 at St Patrick's primary School ground, Afaha Inang, Uyo, the immediate past Deputy State Chairman of PPA said their declaration was anchored on the fact that the Senator (Udoedehe) is the only man with the clearest vision and pro-active strategies on how to succeed Governor Akpabio come May 29, 2011.
His words: “today is not a day for long speeches. I shall limit myself to the basic reasons for our presence here. Our fundamental intention is to declare our total support for the gubernatorial aspiration of the distinguished Senator John James Akpanudoedehe in 2011.
“This declaration takes in and covers about 70% of the entire PPA structures in Uyo, Eket, and Ikot Ekpene Senatorial Districts.
“This man, Senator Udoedehe has by his coverage and forthrighness given voice to the helpless masses of our people who have been beaten to a position of hopelessness by establishment induced poverty and deprivations. It is our considered opinion that his government will usher in a period of peace, prosperity, unity and joy.
“Our resolve therefore, is anchored on the fact that the Senator is the only man with the clearest vision and pro-active strategies on how to succeed Governor Akpabio on May 29, 2011. We commend and salute his extraordinary courage and uncommon determination. In the circumstance in which we have found ourselves as a people, Senator Udoedehe is the ONLY answer.

“Today, on this occasion, I have led a 620 strong political squad of loyal men and women from the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State to celebrate and align with this man of goodwill and compassion, who has by no unmistaken language holds a promise of unfettered freedom, total empowerment and paradisiacal bliss to all Akwa Ibomites on the planet earth”.

The former Deputy Boss of PPA while assuring the Senator of his group's “untainted loyalty” in his bid to become the governor of Akwa Ibom State, called on those sitting on the fence and all those opposing the Senator's aspiration to support the Senator for the state to witness a positive change from 2011.
