Afia Nsit Gets New Political Leader

Akparawa Prince Eking Eking has been installed as the new political leader of Afia Nsit, Nsit Ibom local government area. Prince Eking who is the current President of Afia Nsit Urua Nko Patriotic Movement, a foremost socio-cultural group in Nsit Ibom local government area, was unanimously adopted recently following his antecedent in the development of the community.

Speaking after his inauguration, Prince Eking thanked the people of Afia Nsit for the confidence reposed on him and promised to use his new office to attract the desired development to the area. He however hinted that the task of community building requires collective efforts of all and urged the people to pray for the leaders. He added that for any meaningful development to take place, the people must see themselves as stakeholders who must of necessity make contributions for the development of their father-land.

He said that he bore no grudges against anybody and was willing to work for the progress of the community in particular and the local government area in general.
Akparawa Eking, while pledging his commitment to the future ambitions and interest of the area, said that in democratic setting, people are bound to different views on issues but the most important thing is that the interest of the community must not be compromised, saying that his doors were wide open for counsels and constructive criticisms that are capable of moving the area forward and further solicited for support for the only recognized socio-cultural group in the area; Afia Nsit Patriotic Movement.

  1. Although I do not know him (Akparawa Prince Eking Eking) much, but I must trully admit that he is a true leader. He should put God first and his leadership role will be anointed by God the master of all knowledges who is Jesus Christ.

    I am proud to hail from Afia Nsit even though I only spent 6 years of my life there (1991-1996)
