Attah Visits Rimi’s Family

Ex Gov. Obong Victor Attah recently commiserated with family of Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi, a Kano born politician that died last week following an encounter with armed bandits.

Obong Victor Attah who arrived at the Durbin Katsina residence of the Rimi's by 11:45am and was received by the eldest son of the late politician, Abubakar Rimi Abubakar prayed for the reposed of his soul.

The former Governor who revealed his closeness to Rimi during the formative years of PDP described the former civilian Governor of Kano state as a fine politician who exploited his uniqueness for the betterment of the downtrodden.

Obong Victor Attah said that 'Rimi was a great believer in true democracy' adding that 'during his life time he does what he believed in so long it does not contradict his avowed principle.

Fielding questions from Journalists shortly after the visit on his life after the state House, the former Governor stated that he left the saddle as a 'fulfilled man.

Obong Victor Attah explained that he succeeded in entrenching the state on the part of economic buoyancy while in office, adding that 'he left the state better than he met it'.

The former Governor revealed that he had since gone back to his profession as full time Architect, adding that he still has something to offer to the country.

He lamented that close associates and admirers want him to stay out of the profession for full time politics, pointing out that 'he does not believe in political godfatherism'. Global concord lays the visit in pixs for a glance.
