NFF Bids Mikel Quick Recovery

The Nigeria Football Federation has sent a letter of empathy to injured Super Eagles' midfielder John Mikel Obi.

The Catalyst copped a knee injury in an English Premier League match involving his club, Chelsea against Tottenham penultimate weekend and the NFF said though it was alarmed about the injury, the Federation is happy the diagnosis has revealed the strong midfielder will be back in full action within three weeks.

“We are all concerned with your progress as relates to this injury, coming so close to the 19th FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa, the first ever FIFA World Cup on African soil, for which you and your colleagues so gloriously fought to qualify Nigeria.

“At this moment, we wish you the very best in your recuperation and sincerely pray that the Almighty God will grant you quick recovery, in order that you will be fully fit to play a very key role in the Super Eagles' final preparation and participation in this historic World Cup finals”, wrote NFF general secretary, Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba.
