PDP: KEN NNAMANI, MASARI, OTHERS AS HEROES

Most sincere members of PDP have declared heroes those conveners and attendees of the April 22nd 2010 stakeholders meeting called by a group within the PDP to discuss how reforms could be achieved in the Party. The talk that the present hierarchy of the PDP National Working Committee is corrupt, inept, confusion-setting et al has rented the air for quite some time now. The only way to make the necessary changes is exactly what the group led by Nnamani/Masari has just begun.

With the confusion now in PDP, this is the time one wished that an alternative party exists. But unfortunately, the innate and blind selfishness of people like Buhari, Atiku, and few others who mooted the idea of a mega party could not allow a strong opposition to be. They also should be declared enemies of the country.

It was reported in Saturday NATION 24/04/10 that first-term governors now back the Acting President and PDP Reform Group against Ogbulafor and his group.

My investigation shows that the list of the first term governors does not include a south-south state's governor currently holed up overseas by the volcanic ash flight disruption. This particular governor was alleged to have bankrolled most campaign expenses that brought Ogbulafor as Chairman.

The governor's position might not be unconnected with a rural electrification project in his state that fund running into billions of Naira was allegedly released to Ogbulafor but no job executed.

It should be recalled that Ogbulafor is facing ICPC's charges for collecting money for federal contracts not executed; though the alleged rural electrification contract is of a State government and therefore not among the charges against Ogbulafor and probably might form another if investigated.
