For advertising on pages of newspapers the commendation letter dated August 06, 2008, which the duo of former Senate President Ken Nnamani and former Speaker of the Federal House Masari wrote to the PDP National Working Committe; the PDP highest hierarchy has demonstrated its childishness and incompetence.
Even if the letter contained 'golden' commendation and strong adulation at the time it was written, does it not occur to them that two years after was enough for bad habits to be the order of the day; thereby eroding the perceived earlier beliefs? Commendations are meant to spur recipients to strive harder, progressively in their good works. It means that the commendation letter was taken for granted and impunity reigned supreme to the extent that almost all State chapters of PDP are in disarray.
What is constant in life is 'change'; and only change for better is cherished. For the calibre of personalities in the PDP that called the stakeholders meeting of April 22, 2010 for reforms in PDP, suggests that the present leadership of PDP has outlived its usefulness. It should not be further argued because the meeting spoke the minds of the majority.
If PDP fails to listen to voices of reason, then the government in power should be ready for defeat come 2011. Ogbulafor should answer the charges against him and should even be made to account for the touted billions of Naira rural electrification project he got from a south-south state with the connivance of that state's governor.
The citizens of that state are crying that he did not perform just like he is being accused of, on account of the ones he got from the federal government, dubiously.
